A full model is presented for calculating the dead region in multi-strand tundidsh and is successfully applied to calculate dead region in three-strand tundish in guangzhou steel plant.

• 针对多流中间包死区体积难于计算的问题，提出一个全流量模型，并用该模型计算了广州钢厂三流中间包的死区体积。
