Addition of La3+, Ce3+ to the culture solution deficient in Ca2+ is benificial to the growth of cucumber and Chinese cabbage, relieves the symptom of Ca2+ starvation,increases the fresh weight,plant height,and the amount of chlorophyll and protein.
