Based on the classification of blocks, an application of Bin-Packing to BBP (Building Block Placement) in the automatic layout design of VLSI is proposed to minimize chip size conditional upon the routing requirement.

• 在超大规模集成电路的自动布图设计中,积木块布局愈来愈引人注目,本文通过对积木块分类的办法,把装箱问题应用于积木块布局,在兼顾布线要求前提下使芯片面积最小化,为构造积木块初始布局提供了一个有效的新途径。
