Copper substituted hexagonal mesoporous silica(Cu-HMS) was synthesized using tetraethyl silicate(TEOS) as silicon source, CuCl_2, CuAc_2 or Cu(NH_3)~+_4 as copper source and dodecylamine(DDA) as templating agent.
