Tetraploid zhikong scallop Chlamys farreri (Jones & Preston) was produced by inhibiting the first polar body (PB1) in newly fertilized eggs with 0.5 mg/L cytochalasin B (CB). Five replicates were conducted with different batches of brood stocks.
