The levels of cAMP, cGMP and calmodulin (CaM), and the activities of basal adenylate cyclase, epinephrine-stimulated adenylate cyclase and cAMP phosphodiesterase (cAMP- PDE ) in the myocardium of Wistar rats aged 2, 10 and 24 months were measured.
