Two QTLs controlling EWR were detected on chromosome 4 and 9 (qEWR-4 and qEWR-9). Their LOD values were 2.92 and 2.63, and the explained phenotypic variation was 10.6% and 11.2%, respectively. Both of the alleles from ZYQ8 increased EWR.
