When Wuzhou was opened to foreign trade in 1897, the British built a consulate on top of White Crane Hill. The consulate building was returned to Guangxi in 1928.

• 清光绪二十三年(1897年)，梧州府被辟为通商口岸，英国在白鹤山上建起领事署。1928年底，英国将领事署交回广西。
